Resurrection and the life,
There lives in me a saint and a sinner. I am both connected to your love and disconnected by my actions. I love and hate. I forgive and judge. Always the prodigal, I run away and yet remain a beloved child. My tomb is at once filled with my broken body and emptied by your renewing grace. As I grapple with the dichotomies and paradoxes of life, let me do so in the sure and certain hope that you are always near and that your presence is sufficient to resurrect my life again.
Through Christ, Amen.
